Air bag warning light

My K9 air bag light occassionally shows on start up but always disappears after a mile or two. My first thought was to open and spray the connections under the front seats with switch cleaner but I'm not sure how to separate the big yellow plugs. Has anybody successfully disconnected these plugs? How do the separate? Thanks
