Rear door handle not opening!

Hi guys,

I have an 07 Berlingo and the rear door handle suddenly stopped opening the door. Now, it does open from the inside so I'm presuming it's something to do with the handle mechanism.

I'm not a mechanic by any means so if someone that has maybe had past experience with this issue could give me some tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Is it a hatch or double doors? I've had bother with the hatch on mine not unlocking, particularly if I locked it with the remote. On inspection, the actuator was pulling the lock, but the mechanism was a bit sticky, so it wasn't unlocking properly. unless I helped it a little. I took the inner trim panel off the door, gave it a blast with the air duster and covered the mechanism in spray grease. Seems to be working ok so far.

It's double doors mate. Pretty sure it's the handle as it felt like it's not catching the mechanism anymore.

The earlier models had a habit of the wire (not electric ) slipping out of the plastic clip which connected the handle to the mechanism. It would not open from the outside but would from the inside , maybe something like that has happened to yours?
