I think the part between bonnet and grill is now painted the body colour, and of course the Citroen chevrons are now smoother, not so angular.

Call tonight to say mine had just been delivered.
It's here, hidden in more sticky backed plastic than Blue Peter ever imagined.

They still think it will be Friday before I can pick it up.

Good Grief.

Hooray! Spare a thought for my boss who's just taken delivery of his new car, only 15 months after ordering after being given the 8-week line!
Strangely, the facelifted XTR looks better than the 'old' XTR, but the VTR looks nastier - possibly due to the use of non-coloured plastic.
Might see you there - I'm dropping The Bus off for the suspension job Friday morning.
Don't expect to be in & out quickly when you pick it up though. I think our handover took well over an hour.

What on earth was he buying? Aston?

I certainly don't miss the pseudo bull bar look but would have preferred the "front corners" in mat bumper bar black

If you do see me, I have something for you I recovered from a cache.
If you didn't put it in to one in the 1st place it seemed highly appropriate!

I have been daily to try to minimise last minute hitches that might draw things out but even today I have spotted they have put in the wrong boot liner to the one I ordered.

I am not holding out much hope that their efficiency has turned round overnight after a 6 to 8 week wait that turned into 14 weeks!

The 'wet' photo you posted showed metal wheels, this new photo shows alloys. I thought you could not have alloys with your options?

Those are the new "Airflow" Hubcaps on 15" steel wheels carrying Michelin Latitude Tour All Season tyres.

(These are not just steel wheels they are M&S steel wheels..... )
[SFX strangled orgasmic groan and whimper]

On arrival, pretty much nothing was on the car. No aerial, hubcaps, very few fuses just lots of sticky backed plastic.

Thats why the car was unlocked when I went to take a peek! Central locking didnt work, mirrors didnt fold and it did need some fettling.

Whether it needed 3 days is another matter.

Now it has replaced the plastic with guano and just needs a good clean for me to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

I was wondering if you'd picked it up as I couldn't see it anywhere when I dropped mine off this morning. But I was looking round the back as I walked back into town. Must've been out the front somewhere.
I must say, those airflow hubcaps look pretty good!

Intrigued by the cache recovery. Don't forget to log a discovered if you see Postman Pat's van/The Bus in the workshop or outside. [Smile] It's had a surrogate for a few weeks, so it looks like its been a well-travelled little Berlingo. It hasn't - poor thing was all neglected and rather covered in guano (or should that be guana?), moss and pebbledash when we got back. Kendal Citroen gave it a clean inside and out when they checked it over for the suspension last week - that's quite impressive service.:woop:

Boy, is the berlingo a decent-handling van. I was driving a Kia Carnival (Sedona over here) for a couple of weeks. The last time I had to put that much effort into turning or stopping was when the hydraulics went on my Jag! And the gears were very much guess where to move the stick. It didn't help that the clutch bite point was in the bottom half inch of travel. And acceleration was on a par with my old 850cc Polo. But on the plus side,it actually had a boot with all the seats up. On the few dirt roads we drove on, I had a Hyundai Accent. It didn't like those corners. But the Kia didn't like ANY corners.
