LWB simple conversion
#1
I'm planning a basic table / bed conversion similar to a boot jump, so that I can easily remove it when not in use.

I've noticed that most of these type of conversions has a fairly short bench on either side with a largish full width section behind the mid seats.

I'm considering making the benches longer on either side (almost up the the rear seats) so that there is a larger table.

Can anyone think of why this might be a bad design?

If table is too big it could get in the way in what is not a big space. That said you are using a LWB so will have much more room than my Mk1.The short table should be enough to pivot round if you are sitting over the back seats. I made sure that the table leg is almost in the corner to give greater flexibility.

Not convinced that the standard design of a bench either side in boot is all that useful as it is very cramped and the footwell ditto. I went down Gravity's design route making the non drawer side bench foldable to give more footspace.
