Pipsqueak Horn
#1
Hi all!
I have bought a replacement horn for the 2007 Berlingo I'm running at the moment. I've popped the bonnet up but cant find the existing horn (probably the size of a thimble!). Can someone on the forum please tell me where to find this horn? Also, if the horn is too tricky to remove, is it easier to break into the harness and wire up the new horn somewhere else in the engine bay?
Thanks in advance, DH

Thanks Andre,
Do you know if this means that the bumper must be removed?

Yes it does, this is what haynes says:

Horn Removal

1 The horn is located behind the front
bumper, on the left -hand side.
2 Remove the front bumper as described in
Chapter 11.
3 Disconnect the wiring connector(s) then
undo the mounting nut and remove the horn
from the vehicle (see illustration).

Really seem to be struggling here. I have removed all the torx type screws which hold the bumper in place. I was unable to remove the mudflaps completely: just cant seem to release the push-fit clips which hold the mudflaps on. But I have managed to pull away the mudflaps towards the front end and have managed to peer in under the front of the wheel arch. I cant make head nor tail of the third picture down on the 'how to' remove front bumper. I cant make out if we're looking from the front or the back, or looking at the NS or the OS, or is the view shown from the bottom? And the instructions: 'Exert slight tractive force on the side of the bumper (3).'?? What does that mean? Pull it out? Pull it back? Going slightly bonkers now. Gonna have a cup of tea, gonna give it an hour and then I guess I'll have to shove it all back together. Frustrating.
