PSA garage, Enfield Middx
#1
Some months ago I mentioned somewhere on here that I'd discovered a PSA specialist independent garage in Enfield, quite close to me.

I finally got round to trying them a couple of weeks ago. I had a long list, so emailed it to them rather than phoning:
  • Full service
  • O2 sensor
  • 4 new tyres, tracking etc
  • 2 new oem headlights (was, drill old ones to allow water to drain out)
  • fix non-working passenger door lock
  • replace com2000 due to wobbly stalk in screenwash direction (worn hinge?)
  • optionally: quote for fitting a tow bar.
If someone else gave me that list, I'd perk up!

No reply.

Tried phoning them 6 days later, no reply. Left voicemail. No reply.

What a shame. My local non-PSA but very good garage now has the job.

I've found that any kind of investigative fault finding work is avoided by most garages. They can't be arsed to bother with anything other than quick predictable replacement and servicing in my experience, that or "write us a blank cheque"...

Finding a garage that specialises in PSA vehicles isn't really so important these days - it was more of a thing 30+ years ago when Citroen in particular had somewhat leftfield engineering (particularly the self-levelling suspension).  If you already know a very good local garage I'd just stick with them, or if you really needed an alternative I'd try searching away from Greater London - you might get better service.
