Wiper arms fixing
#1
I have a 2008 Partner 1.6HDi. Whilst driving in heavy rain suddenly 'lost' the wipers.

On investigation, where the internal arms connect to he wiper mechanism, I found both arms had come adrift. They appear to simply push onto the spindle.

When the second one goes onto the spindle it located positively with a 'thunk'. But it is quite eay to pull of again so I wonder if there should be some sort of retainer - perhaps a circlip (or similar).

Unfortunately the mechanism is held in place by three studs - unfortunately one is seized solid so I cant get it out to see what should be there.

A detail description or photos would be really helpful since I really dont want to have to cut the stud (which I fear I might have to if I need to remove it.

Many thanks

Cheers both. Typo in the age of mine (should have said 2006), does that make a difference? I think the model changed in 2008.

The wiper rack will be the much the same on all M59's regardless of year.

The B9 will be different as it's a different shape vehicle.

Thanks for the tips - purchased the suggested clip from Amazon and seems to have done the job.

Excellent advice and fixed for under a fiver (and a bit of time)

Many thanks
