My 2014 Berlingo had a recurring flat battery when I collected it 2 years ago which was then replaced by the dealer. The battery went flat again over a longish period of time.
The car was examined by an Auto Electrician and found to be charging ok with no other faults.
He advised a new battery if the problem recurred which it did.
One frosty night late 2023 I noticed part of the windscreen remained melted.
Located over the DAB aerial and at two spots over the radio area.
A tiny heat source from a live circuit.
The DAB aerial has now been removed (and wires cut) but on a frosty night the two patches over the radio still remain melted.
Disconnecting the radio has had no effect...there is still a tiny source of heat from the dashboard area as if there is a live circuit.
Has anyone had this problem?
The DAB set-up was probably wired incorrectly but there are no details as to how it bypasses the sleep mode and remains live, so I am looking for a fix.
Any clues?
