Question
I was happily driving along when suddenly the Bluetooth music dropped. When I got to my destination, it appeared that although my phone was listed, it wasn't connected and wouldn't connect. I tried rebooting, switch off and on etc. But it wouldn't give me an option to connect. However, changing my phone's name from the make/model to a random silly name it connected as soon as I attempted to re-pair, which it hadn't been allowing.

What is wrong with Citroen radios?!

Are you saying the Bluetooth connected by itself without you having to pair manually.?
My 2015 bluetooth won't allow auto connect, tried all different ways but it just won't auto connect, tbh citroens bluetooth is as much use as a kick in the head, what's the point of having bluetooth that won't auto connect.

Normally it connects when I start up, although for music, I do have to select the Bluetooth as a source despite phone connecting with ignition. But to get it to pair again, I had to change the name, which seems completely ridiculous. I think the system just had a random little fit, which I'm putting down in no way to the fact I had a country music playlist going on at the time...

Thanks Luke, have you the same dashboard as me, ie; little oblong window on the top to which you connect the Bluetooth.?
Or is your motor more modern having an lcd display.?
If the latter maybe that's how yours auto connects, it certainly won't with the system that's in my motor.

I have the LCD display. I'm in a 2018 plate van. Not a bad little motor, it's just these odd electrical quirks with Citroen... Even the brake lights sometimes take a couple of seconds longer to go off (quite possibly a sticky switch). At least they all work with very little to go wrong sort of a blown bulb!
