ABS ecu module replacement.
#1
I have an ABS module fault and am looking at replacing the abs ecu module rather then the whole abs unit.
Am I able to fit any similar ABS unit or should I be looking for certain numbers to match. My current number on the module is 6 443 L3 280114 085.

I had ABS on my 61 Berlingo, £500 for them to take off send away and replace, over a week time no car.
New I believe is about £1,000 plus fitting.

May need code reset after.

Hope this helps, mine was sent away and lost, took 2 weeks to get my car back.

Before you go changing the whole module, what is the fault code you are getting to make you think the ABS module is at fault?

As above - how was that conclusion reached? There are other, simpler faults that can cause ABS problems.

As for replacement - I'd probably replace with a good used unit rather than spending £hundreds on an electronics rebuild.
