[Tires & Wheels] Front Tyre wear

Hi All!

Ive got a 1.9D 2002 Citroen Berlingo,

Basically i got told at the last mot that my lower end ball joint has slight play in it, Anyway i had to replace both front tyres, the offside had slight wear to the outside but the nearside had quite alot.

When i got them to change the tyres i asked them to have a poke about with a bar and they said its fine no wear in either sides? So i asked them to check the tracking and it came back fine?

So what is it causing the wear?

I do get the boing noise at the rear of the van when i reverse etc does this have anything to do with it?

Get a second opinion on the tracking

+1 on above. The n/s seems to much toed-in. Make sure you go to somewhere where they will do a full steering geometry check i.e. toe-in, castor angle, camber angle & toe-in on turns.

Did you put the tyres on new? If not it could be from a past problem that was fixed but has become apparent now that the tyres have worn down. Just a thought.
