An alternative to Diagbox - Topdon Artidiag 800BT

Could be his kit, or the LIN bus itself. All systems are only accessible via CAN bus, so regardless of it being on the LIN bus, the BSI is the network bridge, multiplexer and manager of all other networks. All data and systems require access given by the BSI, over the correct CAN bus, of which there are 7 different buses. This is why aftermarket scanners don't work well.

I have the same issue, I coded the tank and pump in with Diagbox 9, it still faults every time I fill up - so I coded the pump in yet again and put a plastic fuel cap in so it doesn't know the cap has been taken off, as there's a magnetic pickup so the BSI knows the cap had been off. Then it tries to run the Eolys pump.

With a plastic cap it works for a lot longer than the OEM cap, but it faulted tonight after the 4th tank.

Pain in the arse these systems. Good luck, you're going to need it.

Congratulations. Hope it does what you need.

Thanks it is but turns out not quite enough. My car is quite a high miler at kust under 130K so it's automatically claiming my dpf is kaput and full when it isn't. Does need a clean as idle pressure is a little high but certainly not 100% soot full as it is claiming. Do you happen to know if the Diagbox software will be able to reset these dpf values or I'll have to book an appointment with Jimmy. Thanks

What is your car?

Have you used the DPF option under maintenance and service options to force a regeneration or tell it you've fitted a new part?

In signature.

Not yet but just been out to play and seen those options. Waiting for DPF cleaner to arrive, will clean it go for a run and if successful then tell it has a new one?

It did and quite easily...haven't used the Launch UK cleaner yet until I make an applicator for it to work with my compressor cos I'm not coughing up £150 for a modified paint gun.

Used some aerosol DPF cleaner instead and followed the instructions then reset the DPF using the Topdon as if it had been replaced. All good.

DPF differential pressure at idle was about 34mb, down to 1-2mb.  Reset soot from 90% to 0.

Just bought a Topdon 800 after getting the check-engine/urea/exclamation combo pop up on me the other day. I suspected the usual pump burn-out and potential tank replacement. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually talked to my B9 (and reset the dreaded countdown!). the best bit is that so far nothing has reappeared, so it may have just been a vacuum buildup stopping the flow and the pump is actually ok.

Like the bloke who jumped without a parachute said; "so far, so good!"

This thread *might* have just saved me a small fortune! Thanks guys!

Can i ask before i buy one that it can reset the dpf to tell the ecu it has a new one fitted and it can also tell the ecu that the eolys fluid has been refilled. looking at the thread im thinking yes.
