How far hass you Berlingo been on a trip?
#1
To start teh ball rolling, I had a M59 Quicksilver....
One trip was Paris, Zurich, Lake Garda, Turin, Monterosso Al Mare, back alon teh Rivierra, then back to the UK
Another was Paris, Turin, Sauze d'Oulx, Valloire then back to the UK....

I have never ever worried about taking my Berlingos on long distance trips...

I've about worn mine out. I do a lot of long trips.
My old B9 did a few times UK and Germany to Portugal but my newer K9 has stretched it's legs a bit further.

Twice a year it is northern Germany to southern Spain and back, UK to Germany quite a few times as well as UK to Spain. I lived for a few years in Bosnia and regularly went to Slovenia for the weekend. Then there was twice Bosnia to southern Spain and back but I admit one way once was using ferries. Bosnia to northern Germany as well quite often and then there were the Balkans/Ex-Yugoslavia trips around Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia and turning around in Greece.

I have a plan for UK to Germany to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and some route back to Germany this Autumn but it may or may not happen.
Being retired helps with the time taken and also having family (some only distant cousins though) spread all over the place.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

Wow, that's amazing!  You obviously love the Berlingos. They are great vehicles.  So versatile, and the more modern ones comfortable too.  Wishing you many more kms (and miles!).

Sounds good. Let us know how you get on.

I take my B9 to Limoges a few times a year. It loves the smooth French roads!

Have driven several enjoyable long trips,
Calais to Szigetvar in Hungary, via Bavaria and Austrian Alps
Calais to Porec in Croatia, via Alsace, Switzerland, Italy and Slovenija
Calais to Porto in Portugal, via Bordeaux, Bilbao and Guernica
Calais to Barcelona in Spain via Loire Valley and Poitiers

South of France and Northern Italy several times, as well as Berlin. Would love to drive to Riga, Latvia where my son lives and works, via Germany, Poland (detouring to certain historical sites there) and Lithuania

Some years back I took my M59 from Wales over the channel to Cherbourg, France and drove the entire West coast of France to the Spanish border and then cut across the Pyrenees to Perpignon.

From here I followed the coast through Marseilles and Nice and then into Italy, following the West coast all the way down to the bottom.

Then hopped onto a ferry to Messina and followed the coast to Messina and again all around the island and after returning via ferry to Villa San Giovanni  I then continued to follow the coast road all the way up the East coast of Italy to the top where I headed to Switzerland, crossed the border into France near Geneve and followed the Eastern border all the way anti clockwise around France until I caught a ferry at Calais.

As much as I enjoyed all the local foods whilst away I took great delight in stopping at the first truck stop cafe I came across and had a monster serving of a fry-up !!

After that the 300 or so miles back to Wales was easy.

Never tallied the miles covered nor the MPG acheived .... but the old 1.9D did me proud even if loud and slow.

Kipped about half of the time in the back of the van - just carpet ( no jump affair !

Occasionally slept in a tent - Vango MK5

Sometimes as a treat I'd even sleep in a small guest house.

All this done for no particular reason other than I'd done the same route more or less decades back on a motorcycle and fancied it again.

Sounds absolutely brilliant. I love this sort of stuff.

^^^ The irony of it all - on the motorcycle I took with me an Optimus 8R Petrol stove to cook on as I'd never be out of fuel unlike a gas stove but this time I drove a diesel vehicle and had to keep a gallon can of petrol on board just to cook with ... Lol "

Long trips ? My advice is do it before your bones start creaking !
