How to change your username

go the the User CP ( at top of page )

Scroll down to your profile and the option to change your name and password is there

No longer accurate.
It is not possible to change username

I have asked the moderators several times, the process they give me gives no opinion to change, others have done it , most notably sol, but there is no way I can find.

Nope.
Change password, but no change username.

Curious to What browser / platform is being used?

I'm using Vivaldi but there may be more to it than that.
My set up may be different as I have moderator privileges.

I'm in limbo here as I can't contact the administrator , APOLLO , no reply or feedback about this or any other subject.  I've tried but I can't validate new potential members or change usernames,  all I can do is purge spammers .
