Pre-Facelift or Facelift

Hi all,

New to the forum and new to owning a Berlingo, so apologies if this is posted in the incorrect place.

I have a Mk2 13 Reg Multispace and I am going to replace the tailgate on it. 

I've seen a second hand tailgate for sale at a breakers that refers to it being "Pre-Facelift" but even after Google searches I am none the wiser of how I figure out if my vehicle is a Pre-facelift or Facelift model. I have asked the seller and he reckons it would fit, but guess he might say that to make a sale. 

So,

Are there any features on the vehicle that will point to either Pre-facelift or Facelift model?

Does anyone know if it matters whether or not the replacement tailgate has come from a Berlingo van or car?

At a 2013, you are probably a facelift vehicle.

I can tell you for sure that the pre-fl \ fl tail lights are the exact same shape, so that part isn't an issue.

The Multispace uses a different rear door arrangement than most vans, being a hatch eather than the van's double doors. The lights are definitely a different shape on vans, hinges would be different for doors, etc.

I'd be surprised if there's any difference in the panel shape between pre-fl \ fl, but not having tried to swap them myself I can't be sure.

Edit - also, not all models have the opening rear glass.

I definitely have a facelift version of the MK2 then.

The tailgate currently has an opening window. The replacement is a hatch style but does not have the opening window. Not a feature I'm too fussed about losing.
