Aftermarket bluetooth and audio connection
#1
Hi,

I just sold my 2003 M2 and bought a 2010 M3. Unfortunately it was not equipped with bluetooth or audio connection.
I've seen some posts here regarding this issue, but I didn't find any final solution.
I found this: http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?pr...=12&page=1
Has anyone found a cheaper solution with just a bluetooth and/or usb and/or audio connection, that can interact with the original stereo?

Do you not have an Audio connection in your glove box?

Not a direct answer to your question, but on the subject of bluetooth, I treated myself to a new GPS - a TomTom 1005 - to go with my new Berlingo. To my surprise, it came with bluetooth ability. So although I haven't got bluetooth in the car itself, going through the audio system; I can use my phone via the GPS's microphone and speaker.

Of course, if you don't need a GPS anyway (or already have one), this is not a cheap solution. However, I thought it worth a mention.

Just double checked, but no connection for audio

That looks nice. When you play music via bt, is it just music from the front speakers?

That's a good idea, but I want to play music through it as well.

Thats a pain, I thought that it was a standard fitment. Not in Norway it seems.

Does it play music on all the loudspeakers?

I assume so, can't say I've checked the rear ones. I'll go check now.

Yes it does. I should´ve realised it would as it plays through the radio itself, so if that plays through all the speakers then so will the iO Play.
