So had the m59 for a month now, managed to sort some running issues and EML light just needed a new set of plugs.
Now turning my attention to airbag light being on constantly I have 2 connections under drivers seat and only one (brown) on passenger seat. Is this meant to be the case or is something amiss.
Thanks.

Well looks like when I get time the BSI is coming out to test continuity on the data line to engine bay fuse box and while I've got it out I'll see if I can find out why I'm getting next to no power for my drivers electric window reading 3v sometimes jumps to 12v with repeated pressing of the switch but never when reconnected to the motor. Motor does work when wired direct to battery.

Airbag light is now off! Checked com line from bsi to engine bay fusebox, fine no problem there. Kinda forgot about it for a bit then the other day the steering wheel seemed to be loose so figured I'd try the resistor trick to see if clockspring or airbag was at fault while I was in there to tighten the steering wheel back up. Hey presto resistor in the plug that goes into the airbag, ignition on and lights out! Thanks to all that have posted on here about the use of a resistor for checking airbag system. 3.3ohm 5w is what I've used btw and I will be replacing the airbag at first possible opportunity.
