I've had one blow on me, and bought another to replace myself. I turned down fitting thinking "how hard can this be?, as last person fitting one took 2 minutes". How long am I going to be swearing and cursing this job?

Unless it's an M59 nearside, not long.
I got screwed over last week on an Mot
The back indicator bulbs "aren't orange enough"
Just shy of £50 to swap them.
F***ing W**kers.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

B9 nearside.
Lots of swearing, cursing, stamping my feet. I could get the spring clip undone, but not the bulb out. Then took ages to get it back on before I came very close to crying. I've called in a favour with a mechanic friend to get me road legal again.
I'm not a practical person and had to resign before grabbing a hammer and smashing the thing to pieces.

My buddy sorted it then came in and told me the procedure to get it to work straight away. So at least I know for next time.

IIRC. The original Iveco Daily needed the bumper off to do the job so count yourself lucky Luke!

I think my old man's motor (quashqai of about the same vintage as my van) needed that too. I've got slim hands and fingers, I could barely get one in the gap and it didn't have enough wire to come up to give it space. If you dropped it, there was no way of retrieving it. That went to his local garage to do after about an hour! 40 mins to get it out, 20 to put it back! My buddy had a Micra in last week "I can't change the bulb"... An hour later, and one bumper removal... Cars have got too complicated. Let's go back to candle lamps!

Well. Sidelights are much easier to change. I did one in seconds this evening.
