Com2000 and steering wheel radio control

So the berlingo is just back from the mechanic with a new brake master cylinder and now the light are getting funny.
randomly the headlight turn off while driving. I read this could be a faulty Com2000 module (which is the whole swichts thing if i understand correct) 

Know i found a lot of modules with the remote radio controlls, which my car doesn't have. So can i simply replace it with a version with remote and will it work?
