Drive shaft flange problem
#1
Help needed please
I’m replacing the clutch on my 2014 berlingo van, the driver side drive shaft was stuck, to aid removal I undid the 3 bolt, seal flange, to give me a bit of leverage, however on reassembly the flange will not seat, it’s as if a “coller” has come out flush and will not go back in, I put the3 bolts and started to tighten but didn’t want to risk breaking any thing,  as it seemed very tight,
Am I missing something simple?
Thanks

Do you mean the bolt-on housing on the far left of this picture?

(slightly different box than the B9, IIRC there isn't a speed sensor on there but close enough to get the idea)

I don't think the diff or bearings can move with that removed, but the parts diagram shows a seal between the housing and the rest of the gearbox. Chances are a look at it tomorrow, loosen everything, and try again will see you sorted.

(edit - as usual, the parts diagram is split across 317 categories, so it's not too esy to see the exact parts in there.)

All sorted, new clutch fitted, second one, first one was wrong even though it fitted as such. So twice the work, and skinned knuckles

Good to hear you got it sorted. The clutch on these is a beast of a job.

I had similar trouble when ordering the clutch kit for mne - the parts factor kept telling me I was ordering the wrong stuff, despite me getting the parts numbers from LUK.

Unsurprisingly, LUK were correct.
