Should i buy another?

I really like the usability of my last 2004 1.9D, but it was slow, now i have sold it i am considering buying a HDI is there any preference of which one to go for?
Also is there anything i need to worry about with these engines?
Advice please?

If it was me id go for the 90 BHP. I havnt heard of and major problems with the engines.

Yes - the 1.6 HDi 90 is the one to go for (though there is nothing wrong with the 2.0 HDi - it's just a little less economical.)

The 1.6 HDi engine, the DV6*, has been around for years, and has been used in many different vehicles. It is a good engine, and, like Philip, I've never heard of major problems with it.

At this point I think I would. I've always had smaller cars and I love the room. At my age sportiness is just a dim memory and I like the practicality. I got the 110 and am told that it has a dual scroll turbocharger. Not sure how the 110 compares to the 90 in terms of reliability. Hopefully the really knowledgeable folks will chime in.

i had a 2.0 HDi 90HP in a Multispace Desire from new in 2004

Mechanically in all this time its needed zero engine work.

Timing belt @ 90,000 miles was expensive. but only real problems were Disk wear and Swing arm bearings. (no grease nipples) Never had a moments work really under the bonnet. Front springs went with a bit of a twang one time but everything else was just general W&T on the running gear. Engine nice, punchy & rock solid for the whole 8 years 115,000 miles.
Much the best engine @ the time by a long way. I have heard it put the 1.6 HDi 92HP which replaced it to shame in the torque dept. Still in demand by caravanners.

I would have the 2.0HDi. When I bought mine that's the engine that I wanted in preference to the others. I didn't want a petrol, the 1.9 is too sluggish for me and as for the 1.6HDi I always think that a good big 'un is always better than a good little 'un. As shown on here, you also have to be fastidious with oil and changes on the 1.6 to protect the turbo.

I'm up to 160,000 now on an '04. It gets full oil and filter change every 7,500 - 8,000 miles, gearbox oil and p. steering fliud done last time too and, not wanting to tempt fate, she hasn't missed a beat. Can be slow to start from cold as discussed on here and in next week for all the belts to be done also the crank pulley and water pump as they're worth doing while you are in there.

I know people will say that I am biased because I have one, but the 2.0HDi to me is by far the best bet.

The good thing you get with a mk3 is you get free rattles at no extra cost.
