[Engine] How to identify knocking injector
#1
2014 Peugeot Partner HDI

One of my injectors is knocking occasionally in low gears but I don't know which one. I have sent for a Diagbox kit as I think it will be a good investment for my 80K car.

So is there anything that I should be looking for within Diagbox to help identify the dodgy injector? Failing that, is there any other way?

Thanks.

The old style of fuel injection was easy , just touch the fuel pipe going into the injector and it would be very hot.
If its a skoda 1.6 tgi with a failed injector it would not run or barely at 5/10 mph.

a fault code reader is now needed , I think it would be in the live data where you would look but I dont really know.

There are more informed members who will tell you whats what .

With diagbox you can check injection quantity per injector.
But that tends not to be full prof. It fluctuates too much IMHO.
You can spot bad one only if it is "too bad" and it is greatly different from another.

Better results you can achieve old school: leak down test of return fuel quantity.
Or you can go new age with oscillsope.
