LED Running Lights
#1
A while ago I bought some of these LED strips to use on my motorbike, but never got around to it:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-24cm-24-LE...144wt_1110

Today, after wiring up my towbar, I noticed that the gap underneath the headlights looked just about the right thickness for these LED strips so dug them out of their box.
Sure enough the LED strips are a nice tight fit between the bottom edge of the headlight and the top of the bumper; no other fixing would be required. I put one in and wired it up the battery. It was a bit bright here today but I think you can see the strip under the headlight.

Does anyone know of a switched live wire anywhere near the headlights that I could wire these up to?

If you are going to use them as Daytime Running Lights then they have to be wired so that they are only on when the ignition/engine is on.
They must be off,or dimmed, when sidelights and,or headlights are on.

There are various cheap relays available on ebay for this purpose.
