[Tires & Wheels] ET18 and ET44 road wheels
#1
I wanted to get a spare spare for my 56 plate and thought the wheel had come off an '06. Fat chance... it says ET44 and I imagine is off a second generation later car. Mine are all ET18.
Will the 44 do as an emergency spare, or will it clonk something please? Others must have been here already...!

It won't clonk, as it will be jammed solid.
I'm pretty sure that 44mm will royally foul the inside arch of the rear wheels.
With a good beam, you should have about a finger width of clearance.
Assuming you have standard 15" wheels, the 18mm offset is correct.
I have the comedy 14", which are 24mm.
208,500 miles,  (Resurrected at 186,000)
