buying advice - bonnet release lever broken
#1
Question
Hello everyone, first post here.

Have been on the hunt for a berlingo for quite a while now.

Got my eye on one going through an auction on monday which i wanna go for.

Only thing is, in the pictures it's pointed out that the bonnet release lever is broken.

I'm wondering if this is a common thing in berlingos (mk2) or if it's more likey the seller has butchered the lever so no one can have a peak under the bonnet before the auction as there might be a fault with the engine?

Gonna try and get it open anyway before and just wondering if there's a specific trick to opening the bonnet without the lever. Would a pair of pliers do the trick?

Cheers

Yes
Other than physical damage/degradation,an obd scanner would give good insight without opening the bonnet
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

I don't know if it's just me, but I always find it difficult to open the bonnet. Can never remember whether you're supposed to push / pull the lever left or right. Anyone else ?

I'm sure in my MK2 (B9), it's a lift rather than a push/pull. But I could be completely wrong.
