Very brief warning light
#1
When I turned on ignition today a warning of a fault came up on dash. It flashed on so briefly I did t have time to read it beyond noticing it was a fault warning.
Normally I have a ‘oil level ok’ or something like that so wondering if it was a fault with the oil?
Something I should worry about if it goes away as quickly as it appeared?
No other warning messages or lights staying on.

I get this as well periodically over the last couple of years. I don't bother about it now. It tends to happen if I turn the ignition completely on too quickly, weirdly enough. I've managed to catch a sight of it a couple of times and they were different warnings. One was something about the camera, the other I can't now remember but as they went off as soon as the engine started that was good enough for me. I've had it half a dozen times at least.
If it is a low oil warning light it would stay on. I know that as mine did a few weeks ago just before I serviced it.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

Hi there,
Interestingly, the same thing happens with mine too. I think mine says something about a fault in the line, whatever that means... but it goes away as fast as it appears, so I can never fully read it. I've learned not to worry about it as I figure the warning will stay on the screen if it's apparent and relevant.

Hopefully, I'm right!

Hi, I have the same intermittant fault warning that flashes briefly before disappearing. Car has just had a service, MOT and passed so I'm not concerned about it.
