Hi, I'm Bobbi, generally known as BikerGran from another life when I was a biker.    Smile

I'm her under false pretences as I don't own, or intend to own a Berlingo myself, so I hope that's ok with admin.  The reason I'm here is that we (me and husband Mike) are trying to help our grandson who DOES own a much loved Berlingo which had an argument with a deer a few nights ago.  It's a 2006 van, and he's having problems finding the parts to repair it.
We don't really know where to look, and although we have all the info from the V5c, there's stuff we don't understand.

Really hoping someone on here can help, but I have no idea where to post to ask folks.   Huh

As long as you are not a spammer you are welcome.

There is a site where you can get part numbers etc, a lot of members use it for reference.  It will show your model and parts , whether diesel or petrol

Thanks - there's a couple of things we need to know though - the VIN ends with D which we know id diesel, and X - what's the X mean?

And I see then referred to as Mk1, Mk2 etc - what does a 2006 van come under?

Mk1 is the M49 model , square headlights 1996 - 2002

Mk2 is the M59 rounded headlights with front end more rounded 2002 - 2008 , this will be your model

and the B9 2008- 2018 and the latest is the K9 2018- present.

The vin contains a lot of info about your model , weight, engine type etc .

There is the repro code usually 5 figure number on the drivers door frame which tells you the production date and parts code and is handy when trying to find what modifications are applied to the vehicle

You should get a Haynes manual for it. It will help.

Thank you!  Fortunately my grandson has a Citroen mechanic living next door, and a dad who's used to working on landrovers, but of course they're all busy people which is why I'm here!
