Good evening,
I am new to this forum, well, any forum if it comes to that!
I am a 78 years old Scottish/Swiss lady living in Tunisia for the last 18 years with my daughter. She is a T4 paraplegic since 1998.
She has her own car (opel corsa) which was converted for her after her accident. She doesn't use it very much. It only has 50.000 km on the clock.
My daughter recently had a bad fall leading to several operations. She has now been told that she can no longer get in or out of cars/taxis, which will reduce her parameters even more.
I would like to buy a second hand Berlingo. Unfortunately, it would appear that the ceiling height in this (and almost all other similar vehicles) is only 1m 25cm which means that I will have to have the floor lowered. The man in the garage tells me it is impossible but I have seen on You Tube Berlingos which have been adapted.
So, with apologies for rambling on, I would be most grateful for any assistance in dealing with this problem. If I can show the man a video or something, it might help. I know very little about cars and don't drive. Please be patient if I ask silly questions. Summer is upon us and I would like to get this sorted out before it gets too hot.
Thank you so much.
Janice
