Hi there,
I bought a Berlingo Blue HDi 1.5 Diesel a couple of weeks ago. When I bought it, it said my van would not start in 1700 miles. I just topped up the Ad Blue with 10 litres and the counter still says I only have '1700 miles till no start.'
Is it supposed to reset automatically or does it have to be done manually? I'm new to this whole Ad Blue thing.
Thanks in advance
Mike.

There should be a sensor inside the tank just like for fuel. Probably stuck. I have had three AdBlue tanks replaced for this reason.

1700 miles is the standard warning - once it goes below that you will need to top up, absolutely nothing to worry about

Thanks for this. So are you saying that it will say 1700 miles till no start even with a full tank?

The warning goes away immediately when the sensor is triggered. You might have not filled up the tank.

That is correct - even with a full tank it pops up with the 1700 mile warning, its the same across the range of citroen vehicles. When it needs filling up the adblue warning comes up on the dash as an orange symbol.

my berlingo said 1700mls to not starting the day I drove it brand new from the dealers the only time it changes is when it it is ready for adblue the figure goes down.
There is a warning light that comes when the adblue is dangerously low this does not restet until you put more than ten litres in the tank.

Thanks for sharing. It seems incredible that the main Citreon support staff seem completely unaware of this. I've phoned at least 5 different Citeon dealerships and they also seem equally clueless about it.

Not surprised, most front of dealership staff who answer the phones don’t understand the vehicles.

I've done just over 4000 miles and it still says 1700, so guessing it only alerts when getting below that for a safety margin.
