New to Berlingo
#1
Hi, new to the Berlingo world. This forum certainly looks like a place I’ll be frequenting Smile

I recently acquired a 2008 Multispace with the Redcote Leisure Duo camper conversion.
It’s nice to drive, but the starter motor is intermittent and being replaced on Monday. Expensive on labour, but I’m too old and achey for that kind of work these days so will have to take it on the chin.. There goes the pension increase... Sad

Also the heater fan doesn’t work. Is this a known issue with a likely simple cause and an easy fix..?

I’m very much looking forward to some decent MPG on trips to see some more of the UK (I’m in Devon). There’s only me these days, so I’ll be looking to re-convert it to a solo configuration so I can fit my bike in the back, or more likely remove it altogether in favour of an airbed on the floor. I’m pretty minimal when it comes to camping.

Does the heater fan not work at all, or only on certain speeds? It is a common fault on the Berlingo [and other PSA group vehicles of the era] The causes being with the heater resistor pack or the relay. Both are simple DIY jobs although the access of the resistor pack is a bit awkward. [Both are located inside the vehicle cabin but on a right hand drive car the blower [with the resistor pack] is tucked up above/behind the steering column. The relay being located on the passenger side up above the glove box.

If you have a look in the respective sub-forum for your model there will be plenty of threads about heater failures.

2008 was the cut over year between the M59 model and the B9 model. If you are not sure which is your model look at the images I have posted below:

Thank you. Mine is the B9 model.
The fan doesn’t appear to work at all. At least it sounds like a repair I might be able to accomplish un-aided..
I will refer to the relevant sub forum
