Is there a way to turn off the annoying traffic alerts ?

I'm sure there's something in the radio menus.

Could try pressing teh TA button for a start?

Thank you. I’m not actually dim, I’ve got button blindness trying to re-do all the settings after battery disconnection 

My first Berlingo.  I really like it, and I suppose I’ll learn to live with its quirks (no radio with engine off?! Huh?)

Radio should work with the engine off but only for about 20-30 minutes when the vehicle switches to a 'power saving mode' and switches things off so as not to deplete the battery.

The radio will go off after the ignition is turned off but then just hit the power button on the radio and it will be on for about the times listed above.

Yes I discovered that thanks. Puzzling until I discovered the Berlingo quirks on this forum

Seems a bit excessive. Takes a long time for the radio to flatten the battery.

It will also count park-used minutes against driven minutes. Less engine on = less radio when engine off. According to Service documentation, the formula for available minutes is 2 times the driven minutes, but capping to 30 minutes of play at maximum.

With a end-of-life battery, the radio and other ancillaries defeating economy mode hits even sooner.
