Hot Or Not?
#1
A question about hotness.

My van runs midway between the 80c and 90c markers on the termperature gauge. It will, from cold, reach 90c once, then fall back to the 85ish mark and stay there.

Is that normal? How hot is your Partner? (or Berlingo)

Mine is exactly the same and has done it from new.
One thing I have noticed though is since I did the cambelt/water pump it gets to the operating temp a little sooner.
I put this down to me putting the maximum concentration of antifreeze back in.
The last fill would have either been the dealer service (if they bothered) or the factory and I imagine both of them would prefer the cheapness of water in their ratio
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Cool. (or warm)

Saves me £35 and a day of skinned knuckles on a new thermostat, to find that it's exactly the same.

Brings to mind the YouTube video" 360° of hotness"

A lot of those videos are "staged thickness", but I'm not sure that one is.

If anyone's hotness is hotter than me, do let me know.

Thanks! You've made my day, I was feeling a bit grumpy and that's lightened the mood.
