[Engine] Fuel Pump ??

Is my fuel pump dead?? driving for 2 hours..engine dies..stop..engine starts rough but car runs for 2 miles..dies..will start and tick over, run up and down revs ok..no lights on dash..temp fine..then dies...plenty in tank but pump is changing tone a little before it dies again ( ear in petrol filler! ).. starts and dies within 2 minutes.. And, If this is the fuel pump issue about how much is a replacement ??tudy:[/font][/size]
