Shelving
#1
I’m after some shelving for the garage/workshop.

I’m after all metal 4 or. 5 shelves but everything seems to have mdf for the shelf, no good as it doesn’t like the damp.

Any recommendations greatly received

Just get the racking and use the MDF as a template to rip down some 12 or 18mm shuttering ply to replace it

MDF sealant

Or if you're a tightwad like me you raid the paint cupboard and concoct a cocktail from the odds and sods.
MDF, once sealed  will be fine as long if the water isn't actually dripping on it.
Better for the wallet (and the planet) to make use of what's already been manufactured.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

" Tufferman " have a range of shelving but their website isn't very good though.

That said they sell shelving units with STEEL shelves and also MELAMINE shelves as well as the hated MDF stuff

On their web page under " Shelving & Racking " the drop down list takes you to " Other Shelving " and it is here you can see the various alternatives to mdf.
