Should there be a rubber mount below the radiator?
#1
Hello fellow Berlingo-ers

I'm switching over my radiator on a 2004 1.6 petrol Berlingo and noticed there doesn't seem to be any rubber grommets holding the pins on the base of the radiator like there is with the two at the top. They just sit into the holes plastic on plastic, Wondering if anyone can confirm that has worked on the same model if this is indeed correct?

I called the local Citroën dealer who had a look on the parts diagram for my reg and also said he couldn't see any at the base for this car. They are definitely featured on some later models as I can see what looks to be a grommet online for some of the newer cars.

Would be very helpful if anyone that's had the rad off with a petrol of this year can chip in.

Cheers

Have you looked at the online parts catalogue on the catcar info site? You need to put in your VIN then it will show the diagrams for your specific vehicle

https://www.catcar.info/citroen/?lang=en

That way you should be able to ascertain if your vehicle has them fitted?

Multispacer that was a super helpful reply. Thankyou!

Although it didn't recognize the VIN number I was able to search through a few models with similar size engines, and most had a small rubber grommet, which I have been able to replicate by cutting down something similar that I had in the shed. It has worked a treat and stopped any movement.

If you were next to me I'd give you a cold beer from the fridge. Please accept a virtual pint for now.

Thanks again
Dan
