I just got the Haynes BoL from Hlafords. Seems to have reasonably comprehensive instructions. Of course being Haynes there is probably a simpler way.

I've got a 53 plate dw8 1.9d engine on 43k and im doing it in the next couple of weeks as I hear they go early on these models... one question tho - is the waterpump connected to it and do I need to change that belt at the same time?

Hi all new boy to this site.

best to put a cam belt kit in with the idler pullies - belt and braces is water pump too - i have seen water pumps and idler pullies break up soon after doing the timing belt if not replaced.

hope this helps

Ill fit pump and pulleys as well. I really just need to know where the timing marks are and what to align. I have no probs pulling it to bits. Just need the engine in the correct position before i do

Thanks
