Spraying Waxoyl
#1
I've just spent a traumatic 3 hours Waxoyling Cedric, our Romahome Duo based on a 1.9d MK1. . Most of that time was spent unbunging the poxy hand pump sprayer.!!! It's a warm day, the Waxoyl is on a heater and I've let it down with 10% white spirit. Still, it's been a total P I A ! Anyone know of a better way ?

Sadly, the "better way" is to bin off Waxoyl and go for some of the alternative products - the sprayers with Waxoyl have been garbage for the past 30+ years.

Bilt hamber do some decent aerosols that have a cavity nozzle. £20 a can, but good stuff.

If you have a compresser (and if not, why not? hand in your manbadge at the door) there's an assortment of fairly cheap guns available. eg, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185964957744

I've mixed the waxoyl with used gearbox oil in the past, that's worked ok

In the 1970s/80s I had several Volvo estates bought new, and always had them done by Ziebart. In warm weather the cars always smelt of childrens' wax crayons.
