Hello just joined up, just purchased a 57 reg van to use for pleasure mainly transporting mountain bikes around, i bought a Renault Trafic a few weeks ago but that lasted all of 3 weeks just couldnt get on with having such a large van so started looking for something smaller preferably with a petrol engine, choice was i bit limited with the petrol engine so but found a 2007 Berlingo 1.4 in good condition for a good price due to having a leaking heater matrix, got a new one ready to go in so got up early this morning to make a start, wish me luck im sure there will be helpful people on here to give advice if i have any probs...............

Its all done took just over 4 hours ,easy enough job when you know where all the fixings are, managed to pull the dash back far enough to give plenty of room to unbolt the heater box, only had three screws left over at the end

I'll have a go at a lot of things, provided I have the necessary tools etc, but looking at your pictures that looks to be the stuff of nightmares !!

Its a lot easier than you would think its just a case of unpluging a few things then its only panels to unclip a few torx screws a few bolts and the dash just lifts out to give access to the heater box and that only needs moving back enough to slide the matrix out, only one awkward bolt to get to and that was behind the wiper motor but thats only held on with three nuts, heater matrix was only £20 as well so worked out a cheap problem to put right...

Nothing has dropped off yet so im calling it a weight saving measure, every little helps:lol:
