[For Sale] 2006 M59 1.9D panel van - spares or repair.
#1
My van died on me Sad

I'm looking to sell it rather than scrap it as it may keep another Berlingo on the road for longer.

It was running well until a coolant system blank at the back of the engine perished and ruptured and all the coolant was lost. I pulled in as soon as I could but the heat has affected the head gasket. The engine starts reluctantly but there's exhaust gases in the coolant system so compression is down on at least one cylinder. I've only ran it for a minute or two to assess the damage (the van was recovered by the AA initially). While it was on the trailer I found the left rear sill has rusted through, there's also rust on the right rear panel at the bottom above the sill, this doesn't affect the MOT or integrity.

To get it back on the road would likely be new head gasket and rear left sill replaced.

It's a white panel van, 2 seats. 1.9D 600D Enterprise. Left sliding door.

Good bits:

Only 75k miles. I've owned it for 7 years and bought it at 45k miles. Oil changed every 5k miles by me.
Van is white, paint code EWP/96. No decals or sign writing.
Four very low mileage winter tyres fitted to the original steel rims, Goodyear Ultragrip 9s. These are great in the rain and cold weather. Probably worth a couple of hundred alone.

Interior is good, plenty usable parts. All electrics work.
Side doors, left side sliding door and rear doors all good condition as is all glass. Very little rust above the sill level and no dents. Bonnet has a few small stone chips but no rust.
All light units in great condition.
Front wings were replaced a couple of years ago. Front left needs repainted as it's flaking off, for some reason it didn't stick to the primer. No rust though.

Has a towbar and all electrics. Has roof bars. Rear interior is lined with a plywood kit.

Plenty good parts if needed but don't have time to break the van so would prefer selling it complete.

Van will be available in about 2 weeks as I'm away from home (start of August 2024, I'll also post pictures then). It's currently north of Aberdeen but I could trailer it within a reasonable distance around Aberdeen or North east area. Collection would also be welcome.

I'd be looking for £400, wheels/tyres and scrap alone would be worth more. Open to offers though.

Message if interested and I'll get back to you when I can.

Photos finally uploaded. The left sill would need replaced. The right sill is solid, the rust on the panel above doesn't affect the sill. This was one of my to-do jobs to weld in a new panel before the van broke. Practically new winter tyres all around (Goodyear Ultra grip 9).
