Hi i recently purchased a berlingo panel van 2015 automatic 34000 on the clock. Today after 800 miles of having it i had a orange hazard light come on and engine fault repair needed on the diagnostics screen i pulled over and shut off the engine in a panic. After 2 minutes or so i got back in the van and turned it back on and the hazard light was off and the diagnosis screen said no faults i drove it home with no problems and turned radio off so i could hear if anything sounded wrong and now the radio wont switch on but theres no hazard light or engine repair needed on the screen could anybody please give me some advice thankyou in advance i wont be able to take to a garage till monday and was just hoping someone could give me any advice to put my mind at rest

This isn't an issue I've heard go this way before. I would guess possibly a fuse or sensor issue somewhere, but, with the radio not turning on now, I'd be inclined to veer towards a fuse/circuit issue.
You're in good hands here, there are many knowledgeable ladies and gentlemen here. I hope someone else could give you an idea before you get to a garage.

First Citroen? Welcome to the erratic world of french electrics! Mine occasionally boots my phone off of the Bluetooth, and I either have to reset the radio system, or forget my phone/van and reconnect as a new device.

I'll second that, French electrics can definitely be erratic but nowhere near as bad as Italian electrics....just don't go there

I was under the impression that the Italians were more reliable. Maybe I was wrong.

Brilliant engines [on the Italian cars I've owned] electrics absolute c**p on all of them [2 FIATS, 1 Lancia, 1 Alfa] but that was a while back so hopefully they've improved things!
An example being a 5 door FIAT Uno, one day arrived at work parked up locked the car [all doors locked] as I'm walking away from the car, I hear a clunk as all the doors unlocked themselves, which was extremely clever as although it had central locking it didn't have remote central locking. Anyway to cut a long story short after ripping open the inside of the driver's door I found the wring loom had been made to such tight tolerances that the opening and closing of the door had caused all the wiring to chafe on the exit from the door into the door pillar and it was all shorting out. Had to splice in a whole load of extra length of wires so there was enough 'slack' every time the car door was opened/closed.
