New tyres.

Just changed my original tyres after over 3yrs & 34k miles. I swapped the spare every 6mnths across the back & changed tyres front to rear after about 15k miles, all 5 were down to about 3mm. They were also cracked & perished which does not say much for Michelins despite their high cost although mileage was good.

After a shop around I got 5 Avon ZV5 in XTR size 215/55 16 93v at a special offer price of £463.50 which is good for premium tyres, only £92.70 each, this was full price, incl. fitting/balance/valve, no more to pay, from http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/. Ordered online on Friday night & delivered to my local National Tyres branch & fitted today.

Mytyres are quoting £100 each for ZV5 fully fitted, the cheaper price is for supply only, ie delivered to your address & then you would have to take them to a tyre depot & pay to have them fitted. Some online tyre suppliers quote only fully fitted prices some quote both & others like Camskill are supply only. I couldn't bothered with supply only & then take them somewhere to get them fitted, it was easier just to drive to depot & get them fitted, job done. I don't know how much tyre depots charge for fitting/balance/valve customer supplied tyres but I doubt you would save much with supply only.
