Hello!

Hello everyone!

After many hours of research and deliberation, and a 12 hour round trip, I finally picked up my new 2013 Berlingo just over a week ago.

My plan is to use it as my everyday car, but also do a DIY microcamper conversion. I can't remember exactly how I came across these, but ever since I saw that they existed I have been intrigued! My fiancée and I have just moved to England so I thought this would be a more affordable way for us to travel around and see the many amazing places around the UK and (hopefully) Europe too.

I am planning to share my progress in case anyone finds it helpful and/or interesting. My DIY skills are moderate at best, so we'll see how I go!

Welcome, there is a sub-forum for camper conversions. If you want to be able to use your vehicle as your everyday vehicle as well as a micro camper, then I would consider making something similar to the 'Amdro Boot Jump' type of modular set-up that can easily be fitted/removed. There are people on the forum who have made these, so if you search around on the forum, I'm sure you will find some ideas. I never got quite as far as doing this myself but used the Berlingo[s] that I owned for family camping trips across the UK and Europe and could easily get in the whole family plus all the camping gear [we had a couple a 'quick pitch' tents that literally went up in five minutes] I installed and extra power outlet in the rear so we could also have a fridge unit in the boot on camping trips.
