Lifting Up and Off Road Use

Hi All,

this is my first post here so please bear with me :wave:
I have a 2007 Mk2 Berlingo Multispace and consider few modifications. First of all I'd like to lift it up a bit, not just for the looks mind you, but because I often need to get off a beaten track a little bit. I have considered fitting up bigger wheels and taking off a front grille, which is the biggest problem off road, but I guess lifting it up few inches would work better. How can I go about it? Are there any kits available specifically for Berlingos? Any other off road users out there or any suggestions of other mods? Any advice would be appreciated

In other words I would need to change suspension bits responsible for a ground clearance from one to the other? I was hoping that maybe there is a lift up kit for a small van which someone used for Berlingo but can't find any info on the net. In the short term changing the wheels might help a bit but off road tyres might not get enough clearance in the arches..

You could adjust the rear beam the raise the back end up! As for the front, Escapade or it could be worth asking about to see if the shocks/springs off a bigger model (Expert maybe?) could fit, not clue if it would though!

We're talking about a Mk.2 here and AFAIK the only suitable conversions are
made by a French company called Dangel and they're making a full 4x4 kit.

get a set of Gravel rally tyres or Mud and snow ones, protect the sump and power steering pipes as they are very exposed.

That will get you as far as a landrover or other 4x4 on road tyres will get!

There's a van version with a LSD which would be awesome for off road, dunno if it is available for mk2 or mk3
