Hello all,
The cars starting was getting sluggish and today nothing.
On the key absolutely no click of the starter motor at all, so i checked constant power to the starter and it is there, i then checked key power and that is there.
So i could only surmise that the starter was dead.
Whipped it out a d did a quick bench test…nothing. So i took it apart and i think i found the problem!! New one ordered.
The bushes are burnt out and have come loose, when i started stripping it apart it smelt of an electrical fire…nice.

It's a 2001 1.9d with 322,500 k on the clock.
