[Warning Light] Correct FAP Tank? 2012 plate L2 van
#1
Hey all, can I check which is the correct fap tank for my 2012 berlingo l2 van? I've had the risk of filter clogging for 12 months. Still regens fine and done 10k but looking at selling on soon and would like to rectify the issue for any potential new owner. I did try a new one 12 months ago when I purchased the van but it never solved the issue even tho I used diagbox to prime etc. I did check on a newer version and says leak detected.

If you want to be certain, best way is to go across to french car forum, chuck a few quid in the pot, and they'll confirm via your chassis number.

Otherwise, go underneath and have a look. It's -probably- the solid tank and EOLYS Powerflex fluid. 9672052180 is the part number of mine, but the right number will be stamped on it. There's probably also a white sticker telling you what fluid to use.

At the time of writing, Neo Brothers have the genuine tank for mine in stock for £130, barely a tenner more than the Chinese copies, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232731325290 they also sell the fluid at about £25/litre. If you're not keeping, it, 1 litre is fine.

If you have diagbox, disconnect the pipe, run the pump flow test and see what happens. Mine made all the right noises, but no fluid came out. Also fairly easy to check that the pipe and "injector" at the tenk end isn't blocked. I used a Chinese Knockoff Mityvac (like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395567784037 ) to blow through the pipe.

Don't get any of that fluid on you, it's nasty stuff.

That tank will physically take 2 litres, although I found diagbox would only allow me to set 1.07 litres as the fill quantity.

Incidentally, the filter may actually be blocked. Mine was (among a heap of other issues)
