Car tax rate query

My V5 vehicle details section is blank for item V7 CO2 (g/km). Online research (emissions finder.com) suggests this value should be 134 g/km. However DVLA have charged me £345 for a years tax although the published rate for this level of emission is £190.

Has anyone else had this problem and more usefully how can it be solved?

Have you got a Van or a Multispace [car] version? 

The Van versions are charged at a higher rate than the Mutlispace versions even if the CO2 figures are the same.

My 2010 hdi WAV is £200 per annum and the co2 is 149 g/KM. Dont have ad blue or eloys systems.

There was a thread about differing tax rates and IIRC it seems it depended on the dealer registering it properly when new.

Since it appears you have a WAV and therefore might have a disability (or a disabled family member) are you aware of the tax exemption?

You get the vehicle’s class changed to disabled which means (at the moment) the road tax is £0.
You still have to renew the tax every year but there’s nothing to pay.

I believe there is a process for correcting errors on the V5.
