Hillian...
I can't really see any problem. Before you had your clutch replaced everything was working fine.
Now it seems that you have a problem which can be directly attributed to the careless/incorrect re-assembly
of the clutch components.
Telephone the Head Office of that company and ask to speak to their Operations Manager or someone at a similar
level. Make your case politely and it just may be that you'll get an apology and the remedial work carried out FOC.
If the company plays it rough, suggest that they might like to talk with Trading Standards in respect of their obligations
as repairers, and in particular, working in a professional and competent manner.
Ask them if they would prefer to do the remedial work themselves or if they would like to pay the bill from a main dealer for the work.
Point out that there will also be an engineer's report on the most likely cause of the damage.
If it's a company the size of Kwik-Fit, Mr Clutch et al they will, I think, be anxious to keep the whole sorry episode 'in-house'
as they won't want the bad PR. (Especially if you were to go to the motoring press or to relate the tale on Honest John's website.)
As a rider to the above the clutch company will also be liable for car hire if as a result of their work your car fails its MoT.
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

1) What O.J. says.

2) I've never done one, but on the diagram attached to my previous post it doesn't look like a major job, if your gearbox is not the same however, this might not be the case.

3) You don't need a speedo for the M.O.T.

Re-read O.J.'s post and may be worth your while contacting Citizens Advice at the same time as contacting the company responsible for this

I'd of thought a Citroen Or Peugeot main dealer would be able to order you one over the counter or by mail from there parts dept. Confusedcratch:
