hi , i'm a berlingo owner {03 1.4 multispace} and got a new clutch fitted after which speedo failed . checked fuses , reset bsi , fitted a new sensor {mechanic says drive to sensor broken from crankcase pinion} will fit for a tenner if i can find part . tried all over including renault suppliers . loath to put car into local citroen dealer to get --- hillian

coco , i have tried to id gearbox but cant seefrom below because of sump guard,tried taking out battery and tray but couldn't see around engine , fired berlingo ma gearbox into google and ebay lisings came up for 1.4 and 1.6 crankcases..it looks like the ma canbe sorted if i can get part and if i remember from as- search i did the be4r hasto have a crankcase strip. i guess have to bite the bullet and take it to citroen

Hi,Your g/box is listed as an uprated MA type. I'll PM your serial No. to you.
The pinion that you require (item No.2 in Coco's post) is Citroen Pt. No. 2649 17.
This is not the first time someone has posted a fault like this after having there clutch replaced by stop in centers.
I'm presuming they are not taking care when reinstalling the drive shafts which breaks this plastic part.:censored:
