Hi everybody
My old Berlingo 2009 1.6 HDI 16V 90 CV EURO 4 gone, somebody crash from behind and the old van write off.
I m very happy with my Berlingo, and buy another 2012 1.6 HDI 8V 90 CV EURO 5.
But, I do not felt have the same reaction, the new engine have 82k miles, the old had 155k miles.
The problems is the quantity of valves or the DPF system maybe?
Regards and thank you for your comments.

8v is said to be more reliable than 16v
Take it as a win
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

As far as I can see.
The 2012 8V should have slightly better performance than the 2009 16V.
0-62 mph and standing 1000m times
2012 8V 13.9sec 35.6sec
2009 16V 12.8sec 35sec

In the brochure I have, no show any difference in time, both 14.3 , only in torque and economy.
2009
2012
Both cars were before diesel gate, I know my 2009 Berlingo never gone to Citroen official dealer to repro and fix the Cx. I do not know about my 2012 Berlingo.
Didn’t know they did 7 seater vans?
These are the relevant excerpts from the 2009 & 2012 van brochures.

In your original post you said van, so I'm looking at van brochures.
Those are the brochures for the Multispace versions.
I.e. not van!

David, Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I have a Berlingo XTR 5 seat, but I call Van (Furgo in Spainish) with love.
Thank you for your comments.
