Wire through bulkhead

Have any one found a easy way though the bulkhead/firewall?
i have a left hand car.  the main grommet is so blody hard cant get my 16mm2 cable through  
i need to connect a dc-dc charger in the boot for mye camper.

Not on a K9 but on my M59 Multispace when I owned it, I had a broken wire from the engine bay to the BSI [I couldn't actually find where the break was] so I had to run in a new wire and splice it in. The Bulkhead grommet on that was incredibly hard as well, even though I tried using a 'looming tool' [as I use for work in the aircraft industry] which is similar to the image below, there was not enough room in the bundle to get the additional wire through.
In the end I ended up making an additional hole in the grommet to the side of the main wiring loom to thread the new wire through and then sealed around the newly made hole with waterproof silicone type sealant. 
A tool like the one below may work for you on the K9 depending on how much room there is in the bundle to get your new cable in, the tool shaft on the tool I tried were a strong plastic/carbon fibre, so as not to damage the existing cables in the grommet.
One thing you do need to think of if adding this extra cable into an existing grommet full of cables is how much extra heat might be added to the existing wire bundle, so is it safe to add?
Personally, if the existing grommet is that hard, I would look at drilling a new hole and adding a separate grommet just to carry the new cable. that way you can locate the cable where you want but you may not want to start drilling into the bulkhead on such a new vehicle?
